A History of Stewardship
Singh is committed to responsible environmental stewardship in every project we undertake and every community we operate. We thoughtfully evaluate the environmental impact of our decisions, with a focus on building a legacy of sustainable growth and minimizing our footprint. Integrating environmentally conscious construction methods and operational practices remains a core priority across our organization.
All Singh homes are built to meet the Singh Energy Efficiency standard, meaning new homes can be up to 20-30% more energy efficient than standard construction. Features such as high-performance insulation and windows, the Nelson Energy Seal®, and high-efficiency heating and cooling systems work together to enhance comfort while reducing energy use and lowering utility costs for residents.
Sustainability Across Our Communities
Across Singh communities, we have implemented a range of initiatives designed to reduce environmental impact. All Singh homes are built to meet the Singh Energy Efficiency standard, meaning new homes can be up to 20–30% more energy efficient than standard construction. Features such as high-performance insulation and windows, the Nelson Energy Seal®, and high-efficiency heating and cooling systems work together to enhance comfort while reducing energy use and lowering utility costs for residents.
Our sustainability efforts extend throughout our multi-family and Waltonwood communities. These include reducing water consumption through improved conservation practices, installing LED lighting across buildings, incorporating materials with recycled or natural content in development projects whenever possible, and steadily transitioning toward more paperless administrative processes.
In addition, we are actively developing ENERGY STAR®-compliant apartment communities designed to reduce environmental impact while delivering long-term cost savings for residents. These efforts include enhanced insulation that meets and often exceeds code requirements, ENERGY STAR® appliances, and high-efficiency furnaces with fully insulated and sealed ductwork. Where feasible, new developments also incorporate well-water irrigation systems to reduce demand on municipal water supplies.
